spock’s room decor is actually fucking bonkers. The weapons??? the big red velvet curtain??? like ok phantom of the opera go crazy.

for reference jim’s room has some photos and a plant so we can surmise this is uniquely a spock being a dramatic weirdo thing

This is like in the movie Best in Show where the gay dog trainers hammer a tapestry above the bed in their motel room.

Found my 53yo very-much-not-online father in the kitchen today meticulously arranging cutlery on the countertop and i was like 'what are you doing' and he looked up at me with the world's most shit-eating grin and said "Your mother told me this is how you rick-roll the Youth" and i looked over and it was fucking. Loss.jpg.

i must stress that he's never seen the original comic. My mother simply showed him the shorthand symbol and he memorized it. As far as he is aware this is just a fucking hieroglyph that deals instant psychic damage to everyone under the age of 30

One really cool perk of joining Cyan is that I get to capture all of the promotional shots for the new Riven.

Can't wait for y'all to play this sucker. 📚

After complaints about them using 200 of the same ship to make up a Federation fleet at the end of season 1 (and before that, using 23rd century Discovery ships as 2385 Romulan evacuation support in the "Children of Mars" Short Trek minisode), the Picard people reached out to Star Trek Online for some starship CG models for their season 2 opener. Since none of them are seen up-close, the lack of detail is decently hidden. The only Federation ships built by the Picard team are the new versions of Stargazer and Excelsior. Presumably, any Star Trek Online ship is fair game to appear future episodes of modern Trek, at least in the background.

I guess it's the modern version of Deep Space Nine using store-bought Star Trek model kits to populate the background of fleet scenes.
