“A butterfly,” Noa repeated firmly. It fit her, and it would even when Noa was completely sober again. The image was perfect. If she half-closed her eyes, she could all but see the swirls of color around Lilah, the fluttering of delicate wings. “Not half-moth-half-bumblebee, or whatever. A beautiful bisexual butterfly, all yourself.”

“You’re buzzed, aren’t you?”

I am in love with the idea of location-based horror I am in love with it

there is no ghost here the house just hates you

I want to be an evil architect who builds houses that want to hurt you

I can talk about this officially now! My next book, currently titled Scream Queens, will be published by Sourcebooks Casablanca! I’m told the release date is next June, and I am super excited about working with such a phenomenal publishing house.

The leads are bi and lesbian, respectively, and both are Jewish, making this wlw romance doubly #ownvoices.

Follow me on twitter for updates at @jennetalexander, and I reserved the pen name blog here at @jennetalexander, so I should probably start posting over there as well.

Hooray!

It’s me!

“this horror movie isn’t very good-”

This is the path the horror fan must walk, this is the path I have chosen.

The path of watching a lot of not very good movies.

301 words a day. 265 days to go. This is my commitment to getting ‘er done.

(I promise this will not become a word-count blog. I just needed somewhere to affirm this in writing.)

I would believe myself more if I hadn’t immediately gone to check twitter after posting this. >.>
