Excited to see where the Celene/August/Arun storyline goes!
Ahhhh 😍😍 omg thank you! This is so nice to hear 🖤🖤
"Is everything okay?" Arun was concerned. "We haven't had a sit down 'talk' like this since I moved in."
"Everything is fine," August replied.
"Then what's going on?"
August and Celene looked at each other, and then back at Arun.
"I'm pregnant!" Celene said, excitedly.
"You-you what?" Arun stuttered.
August reiterated, "Celene is pregnant."
Arun looked stunned, worried even. How was he supposed to take this? He swallowed, nervously, and started to speak. "Do you know..."
August cut him off. "It's mine. Don't worry."
"We did a paternity test already." Celene chimed in.
Arun was relieved. "Oh, thank god," he said. "I thought I was about to be in trouble." He laughed, nervously, and paused for a moment, before continuing. "I suppose congratulations are in order?"
"Thanks, we're really excited," August said.
Arun thought a moment before speaking again. "So what does this mean for me? Do I have to move out?"
"That's up to you," August said. "Do you want to stay?"
A couple of weeks passed, and Celene had made her decision.
It was official. They were going to have a baby. Now they just had to tell Arun.
details in Milan's family flat.
"Well," August said, confidently, "I think we could do it."
"Yeah?"
"Of course, I will still support you no matter what. But if you want this, then I want this."
Celene nodded. She had a lot of thinking to do, and little time to do it.
They sat together at the island. Celene seemed anxious.
"Well..." August asked again, "what did they say?"
"It's yours."
August breathed a huge sigh of relief. "So then, what do you want to do?"
"I'm still not sure," Celene said. "Are we ready for this?"
"I mean, is anyone really ready?"
"I guess not..."
Celene gave August a moment to settle in after he got home from work before asking, "hey, got a minute?"
"What's up?"
"The clinic called," she said, "with the test results."
August looked nervous. "What did they say?"
"You wanna sit down?" Celene motioned to the kitchen island.
Celene verified her name and date of birth for the caller.
"We're calling with the results of your paternity test. Can we give you the results over the phone?"
"Yes, that would be great."
Right on schedule, two days later, Celene received a phone call from the clinic.
"Well," she thought, "here we go."
She took a deep breath, and answered the call.
"Hello?"
"Okay," Dr. Harjo started. "Celene, I'm going to take you into another room to get a blood sample. August, a nurse will be in to swab your cheek in a few minutes."
Celene and August both nodded in understanding.
"After we collect our samples, we send them out to the lab. Celene, we will call you with the results in 2-3 days."
"That's all it takes?" Celene asked. "I thought it would take longer."
"Modern medicine is always advancing," Dr. Harjo chuckled. "Let's get your sample. August, wait here, the nurse will be in any minute." She lead Celene out the door and down the hallway.
"So this won't hurt the baby?" August asked. Celene was still quiet.
"Not at all," Dr. Harjo said. "The procedure is non-invasive and very safe." She looked at Celene. "Celene, are you okay?"
Celene raised her head a bit. "Yeah, I'm alright. This is just a lot."
"I understand. It is a lot. But you have a good support system here." She nodded toward August.
"I'm Dr. Harjo. Nice to meet the two of you!"
"You too," August replied.
"So, you're here for a paternity test?"
Celene nodded, looking embarrassed.
"You're fine," August told her. "Don't be embarrassed. She's a doctor."
"I'm surprised you came with her," Dr. Harjo said. "Most women come alone, because, well, you know."
"Oh, no," August shook his head. "She didn't cheat on me. We had a threesome."
"August!" Celene nudged him.
"Babe, it's fine. She's a doctor."
Celene huffed at him.
They both took a seat in the waiting area, and Celene started filling out the paperwork.
"Hey," August put his hand on her knee. "You're okay. You don't need to be scared."
Celene glanced up at him. "That doesn't change the fact that I am."
"I know. Just remember, I'm here no matter what."
Celene nodded, her head down. She filled out the rest of the paperwork in silence.
After what felt like forever, the door opened, and a nurse called, "Cloud!"
Celene took a deep breath.
