Fuck Tumblr. Let's kill their ad rev on June 30th

I propose we end this pride month with a bang. On June 30th I propose we as a community come together to stand against what’s going on Tumblr by for a whole day not posting any content on our blogs but change our icons to our respective flags. Also maybe also by going back and deactivating old accounts. But a day of silent no content from us. They’ve lost us all. We are not going to stand for this blatant homophobia. So let’s make them scared. Don’t look at your app. They will get less ad rev and take a hit that day. It will hurt them.

That would depend on who you ask? ‘Non-binary’ encompasses a really wide spectrum of people.

For myself it was more about transitioning away from the gender I was assigned, seeing as I suppose I don’t really have anything to transition to.

Wouldn’t that make you transgender? Not non-binary? If you’re non-binary, you don’t identify, so you would have no reason to “transition”.

But you’re not transitioning then, you’re just getting surgery. You aren’t changing your actual gender, just your appearance.

transitioning doesnt mean changing the gender you identify with, it means changing the sex you were born with. which is, yes, changing parts of your appearence.

“Transitioning doesn’t mean changing the gender you identify with” then what would you call that, exactly? Changing the gender you identify with, what term would you use to describe that? Sure, transitioning means changing your genitals but it also includes your mental mindset (gender).

i see myself as male, i see myself as a guy. i am a guy. biologically i am a female. transitioning and getting a chest reduction surgery would do nothing to my mindset other than make me feel a bit better because my chest is gone. id still be a guy after the surgery, just as i was one before it. its a physical and cosmetic surgery, not one that will gange the gender you identify with.
