how can you say that celebrities are strangers and then on the same post compare them to your friends and neighbours. befriending someone is completely different from listening to somebody’s music, and i’m sorry that your relationship with your friends is anywhere near comparable to your relationship with celebrities.

Look, I don’t post a lot of these, and this isn’t even for me – it’s for my wife’s friend’s deceased mother, who was killed in cold blood, alongside her boyfriend, by her abusive ex who then killed himself. Related articles are in the GFM if you feel like crosschecking it, but this family is devastated and worse, unable to handle the burial costs.

This was a woman who made a few mis-steps trying to get away from her abuser, pulled back in, and escaping again, completely, to rebuild before he hunted her down and killed her. I was almost this woman once. I imagine other people may know someone who almost became this headline before too.

So please, even if you can’t donate, can you at least reblog boost this to help put Nicky to peace?
