By all means, talk and raise awareness about depression. But please mention:
ā¢Not showering or brushing your teeth for two weeks ā¢Getting sick from a vitamin D deficiency because you havenāt been outside in a solid month ā¢Getting lightheaded when you stand up from bed because youāve been laying down for days ā¢The body pains ā¢Shampoo not bubbling because this is the first time you washed your hair in three weeks ā¢Over stimulation ā¢Pity from a distance ā¢'Get over yourself, thereās people *in Africa starving, with cancer, homeless, living in poverty, dying, ect.ā ā¢Massive weight gain ā¢Massive weight loss ā¢Both ā¢Your body literally changing how it looks and deposits fat based on frequent weight gain and loss ā¢Hair loss ā¢Zero self esteem ā¢Breaking out in acne so bad you canāt put your head on a pillow from pain ā¢Being too depressed to commit suicide ā¢Self imposed isolation ā¢Stomach cramps ā¢Nausea ā¢Vomiting ā¢'Youāre so dramatic, it canāt be that badā
If you donāt, Iām not saying youāre not raising awareness, but you definitely need to reevaluate your platform
