Chinese GP 2024 - FP1 debrief

If there's one thing I've learned is that we should never trust any timings during an FP session regardless of how promising they may be.

Evidence? Lance Stroll P1 (not an attack on Lance it was a very clean lap but Aston Martin are no where near as fast as Ferrari/Red Bull on this track).

However, Lance, Oscar and Lando did some amazing laps to end up in the top 3 (Lando bailed on his flying lap but he was up ~0.4 tenths on Oscar's P2 time so he would've easily been P1/2 I'M COUNTING IT OKAY).

In conclusion, the track seems to have good evolution but very little grip, someone's going to crash into the pit entry guaranteed, and plenty of gravel detours will be taken. Looking forward to the chaos that awaits in the sprint.

My highlight - Oscar having to do a 3-point turn on worldwide television bc he locked up going into the pit entry (it's okay bud it's your first time here).
