“What do you mean?” I asked, like I didn’t already know. Like the
worst part of everything wasn’t that I already knew. She’d been avoiding my
eyes that whole day, that whole week. It hurt more than anything, watching
her not being able look at me. How could I not know?
I couldn’t let myself hear this, but I did anyway. I heard her words, every
one of them. They were all the same, little bombs that snuck into my chest
and detonated. Blood slipped out my ears and pooled in my collar bones, and
she didn’t notice.

any tips for a writer who has no idea what they're doing?
sure. people are different, but this is what worked for me. start off slow. write little things down, like feelings and thoughts or musings. however you feel. there’s no right or wrong thing to write about; just kinda go with the flow. it’s okay if it sucks at first or if you think you sound crazy. i also used to do a ton of reading, which i think gives you a bit of perspective. you can also ask people (like me) to review your stuff as well. i’m sure you have super amazing stuff to write about, so just give it time! hope i helped :)
