In case anyone ever wonders what happened to me (because I wonder about some of the blogs I used to follow/be friends with):
I did end up pursuing my dream and became a fully licensed funeral director and embalmer. It’s difficult, but I love my job and I find it both emotionally and spiritually fulfilling. It is different than what I expected it to be, but in the best of ways. It has definitely changed me as a person and given me a different perspective on day to day life.
My practice and religion are still focal points of my life, but they have matured with me. The gods have been good to me.
A lot of things have changed. A lot have stayed the same. I still struggle with my health issues, but I’ve learned to manage the worst of it. While there was never a treatment that fixed my pain, it has not stopped me from living my life in a meaningful way.
I don’t know that I will ever post again regularly here. I enjoyed being Sparrow, but I haven’t called myself that in a long time. Sometimes I consider deleting the blog entirely, but it’s sentimental to me. And, of course, I might end up wanting to come back here.
To summarize: I’m doing well :)
