it's been fun tho!!! – send me an ask if you want this url

guys PLEASE do not start being like “fuck joe biden basically won the nomination” he LITERALLY did not. a candidate needs nearly two thousand delegates to win. biden currently has about 3 hundred and bernie has about 2 hundred. it’s literally still anyone’s game. the majority of states have yet to have their primary yet. chill

final super tuesday results and they’re literally 65 DELEGATES apart. not even 100. in a race where not even a quarter of the delegates have been pledged.

your username.. I'm jealous😤😳

do you want it? 😳😳😳 (I’m thinking abt deleting this blog and shifting to my main, since I’m not rly active and it just reminds me of my cringe discourse phase dfhglkfjg)

people on this website will complain about how their high school english teachers forced them to learn about how blue curtains represent depression and how that was stupid because they’re so smart and they already know how to interpret all media perfectly. and then will act as if the cult from midsommar is some kind of feminist girlpower movement.

your gender doesn't need to have a name. it can just be a collection of thoughts and experiences unique to you. it's okay if the way you define your relationship to gendered experience doesn't fit neatly in a clearly labeled box

It seems a lot of people superficially support the concept and complexities of non-binary identity but aren't actually ready to grapple with said complexities when actually confronted with something as seemingly contradictory as a non-binary person who sees themselves as a mix between man and woman but also gay for one of those particular genders and basically just tell them "you have to choose whether you're male or female" but with different wording so that I don't think they realize that's basically the argument they're making.

Like if you insist a non-binary person has to cede to being sorted into either "really a man" or "really a woman" in order to identify as gay all you're really doing is playing gender cop. If it doesn't make sense to you, too bad. Sometimes people's gendered experiences are complex and weird, and that leads to complex and weird feelings abt where we "belong" and who we want to be. Deal with it.

A lot of old radical feminist theory would compare the masculinity of butch lesbians with the masculinity of cis straight men, which I think is interesting, because a lot of cis straight men’s masculinity is acted out of fear of being seen as gay, and the masculinity of butch lesbians are what make them immediately identifiable as gay. Which makes me think of this quote from Carol A. Queen;

“Loving masculinity in a woman differs crucially in one way from loving it in a man: In her it is a badge of standing out, not of fitting in. It is grown into through pain, or at least a sense of separation from those less different.”

The comparison of butch lesbians and cis straight men just doesn’t make sense.

“Nonbinary” is an experience as much as it is an identity. There are as many types of nonbinary-ness as there are nonbinary people. You cannot define your sexuality on nonbinary people because we are not a third gender, we are not a social class, we are not distinguishable from people with “binary identities”. You are not doing anyone any favors by trying to build conversations that center nonbinary identities as the nexus for material analysis because there is no uniform nonbinary experience. Please, for the love of everything, just stop trying already. It’s not helpful or fruitful in any way!

"i was a transtrender" no you werent. you were just questioning your identity and then you decided that wasn't for you. that's a fucking healthy thing to do. fuck off lmao

Questioning is:

-healthy

-common

-normal

Questioning isn't:

-an excuse to be transphobic towards often young individuals
