It's dying because it's clique-y. I know people might insist it is small but if you aren't a popular Snape blog, nobody shares or reblogs your work. There are continual ship wars and ship bashing, gatekeepers, and just general bitchiness. I love the character and have made some terrific friends but I do not think a lot of online communities, especially Tumblr is friendly.
I feel that answering this ask will just feed more drama but since we have some momentum to discuss things, I will say it's important to encourage good behavior with our support, because the algorithm won't do it for us. I'm glad you made terrific friends :) I have too.
I agree. There is far more ship warring and bullying/drama among Snape fans than I'd ever expected to find. Which sucks because we already have to deal with enough crap from Snaters.
That being said, there *are* good Snape communities out there, and I've made some very good friends recently. But, alongside those chill spaces, there are just as many that come off as very clique-y and hard to assimilate to. So, I feel your frustration ❤️
