Portgas D. Ace got way too little spotlight for such a character - the potential of exploration was amazing. Imagine we would have met his crew! Seen his life with the Whitebeard Pirates! If not for his lack of plot armor, he should have survived Marineford. And so I'll make my own reality.... where he did! ~33 year old scientist, currently doing her PhD in structural biology and suffering... ~ long time One Piece fan, who returned to the fandom after a long sulking break after Marineford (so... 10 years?!) ~ trying to get back into writing for some work/life balance and because it makes me happy, even if I'm not really good at it

Why do color spreads always hurt? Like look how happy Shanks and Marco are just having a drink teasing Ace and Sabo who are legit the same person in a different font in their stupid ass shirts (Sabo’s is actually cute, Ace looks like a Hawaiian tourist tho)

I’d bet Shanks said something smug basically inferring Luffy loves him more than them and they refuse to accept that while Marco is just agreeing with Shanks cause he likes to stir the pot. They’re actually Luffy’s family and they love their little bro/son so much. 😭

Why is this not real pls Oda.

EDIT - A lovely commentor advised that Oda said Ace and Sabo are actually thanking Shanks for saving Luffy which is even cuter. Love them.
