I NEED THIS IMMEDIATELY

And people with ADHD and/or autism.

Speaking as a queer person with both of those, the sensory issues related to regular chairs are INTENSE and widely reported.

I think it’s really important to talk about how different people have different power fantasies.

For example:

  • For some people, the idea of someone redeeming a villain is a power fantasy.
  • For other people, the idea of a villain being defeated is a power fantasy.
  • And for other people, the idea of a character owning their villainy is a power fantasy.

I would argue a lot of fandom conflicts re: villains come from people being unable to see that their fantasies, which put them in control of a narrative (and all three of these are designed to give the author or reader control of the narrative in different ways) are someone else’s horror stories.

My usual retort to people who don’t want “universal healthcare/education/basic income/etc.” under the pretense that “the rich shouldn’t have access to it” is that it’s cheaper to just give it to everyone no-question-asked than to try and judge every single case just to exclude a tiny minority of them.

But this tweet thread? This right there? That’s a damn powerful argument. Something that can actually convince people emotionally, more than my cynical, it’s-cheaper-that-way, pragmatic approach.

I’ll keep it, and I’ll re-use it, because it’s with thread like this that you change the world, one opinion at a time.

reminder that yearly goals are achieved by setting monthly goals that are achieved by setting weekly goals. Achieving your major goals comes through progress and setting smaller, challenging but achievable goals that leads to getting through those major goals. This helps make those major, daunting goals less daunting, having step by step for yourself to achieve whatever you want.

I’m telling you elephants are chill motherfuckers. They fucking love being helpful. They once defended a man with heatstroke from a truck that came to rescue him. They knew he was sick, laying against a tree for shade. They were watching over him and petting him, and they threatened to charge the vehicle for coming towards him. Another person passed out, and elephants cried over her and buried her body in a traditional elephant funeral. (Piling branches on her). And were quite spooked when she got up later. And an elephant was helping workers to put logs in holes for a wall. On one hole, the elephant absolutely refused to set the log in, despite being punished and goaded. Turns out there was a sleeping dog in the hole.

There are so many good elephants stories. They will even help zookeepers wash other elephants– literally, a zookeeper can be like “[Name 1], please wash [Name 2]” and he will go wash that elephant correctly. Listen guys. Not only are elephants people, but they’re largely better people than us. I’m 10000% serious.

when humans go extinct i’m pretty sure elephants will be able to restore our planet’s reputation

Writers be like: And then I actually had to write it, ya know? And it was so hard. I thought the scene would never work out.
And other writers be like: But it turned out good, right? I hope so. Writing can be so hard sometimes.
And then some more writers pitch in with: Wait, you actually write?
And normal people are sitting there like: If writing is so hard, why do you do it?
And writers be like: That’s not how it works. We don’t call the writing. The writing calls us. Sometimes it’s hell, but the writing demon summoned us to be the writers, and we cannot refuse the call.
But the writers are also like : I refuse the call every other day.

And folks, that’s just what writing is

i think about this a lot

The guy got his life and career destroyed by his divorce, cut him some slack.

people grow old? like, that’s a thing that happens? leave my guy alone.

This man deserves everything let him he happy

Ok… This is what happened to Fraser

-His wife ditched him and asked for 900k a year,

-He was sexually assaulted which he said kicked him into a deep depression

-He stated that the stunts from the 3rd Mummy movie completely destroyed his body and he was in and out of the hospital for 7 years even having to get surgery to repair his vocal cords.

-He apparently blamed himself for all this which only worsened his depression.

This man has literally been through hell this past decade so please lets cut him some slack and wish him the best

All this but also that picture on the right is a really bad paparazzi photo compared with a professional quality movie promo still. No one looks good when some random person snaps you on the street, regardless of who you are.

Compare with this image from the GQ article last February:

Proper lighting, professional setting, good angles etc.

The dude is 49 and has had a rough couple of decades, but he’s still lovely to look at, and I’ll fight anyone who says otherwise.

Plus, now he’s in Doom Patrol, which makes me happy af.

And let’s not forget he was probably slightly to severely dehydrated to look that buff in he first photo. And I’m so pleased he got work again he seems like a good sort, and from the stealth pilot in Titans, Doom Patrol looks like it should be good.

It shouldn’t even matter what he’s been through. Body shaming of ANYONE is wrong.

ALL OF THIS

Plus

The last time I saw this it was only at the first ‘cut him some slack’ part and it just progressively gets better each time.

All the awards.

DO ME A HUGE FAVOR AND REBLOG THIS!

This is perfection in a campaign

I love how they included a situation where a guy could’ve gotten raped. People don’t seem to realize that males get raped too. It’s less common, but it happens. That is what sets this campaign apart from others.

RAPE IS 100% PREVENTABLE– JUST DON’T FUCKING RAPE SOMEONE. IT’S REALLY NOT A DIFFICULT CONCEPT.

My sister actually had vampire who keeps going back to medical schools over and over and over again. Every time he completes it he adds a ‘Dr.’ to his title. Right now he’s ‘Dr. Dr. Dr. Dr. Dr. Dr. Dr. Dr. Dr. Dr. Vampire’.

without the knowledge of ocs this implies that she owned a vampire. like kept one as a pet
