People think I'm immature for not considering the Boruto manga canon without realizing how ridiculous the new mangaka is.

Never.

Kishimoto would never ever let Sarada say those words in a million years, not after everything that happened in Naruto Gaiden. This new mangaka is a joke and clearly lacks capability to be able to portray Kishimoto's characters properly.

After scenes like this...

Sasuke tells her she is the ultimate prove of the bond between Sakura and himself and we can clearly see how much Sarada feels that. This scene was perfect, absolutely beautiful because how simple yet powerful it was.

One day.

Sarada needed one fucking day to understand her dad whom she hadn't seen for years. She understood that she is everything to him, that he loves and cherish her with everything he has. He would die for her without a second thought-

For God's sake, she awakened her Sharingan at the mere thought of her dad!

Out of love.

I don't know what else they talked about but all I know is that it was enough for Sarada to understand.

But this panel...

The only reasonable explanation would be that Sarada was thinking like that in her childhood before gaiden. After all, she had no father looking after her, playing with her, training her, just being there for her. And a little Sarada seing Naruto play with his son while Boruto talks shit about his dad...

It would be reasonable enough. I would understand that. Because she was a kid who always feared not being loved by her father whom she hadn't seen for a very long time.

Anyway, Naruto ended with the Boruto movie for me.

Sarada was talking in past tense throughout the entire dialogue she was quite obviously referring to the time she didn’t know her father. Sarada obviously doesn’t feel this way now. Sarada was just comforting Kawaki who was questioning and being skeptical about Naruto’s kindness and Sarada has first hand experienced Naruto’s kindness and she knows better than anyone in comes from a good place. You have clearly misunderstood the scene completely
