At 5 1/2 months they are getting so big. They are still puppies though and are equal parts little monsters and beautiful angels. LOL Here, they have come inside to watch a little TV with me yesterday evening. I have their attention because they think than anything that’s in my hand automatically qualifies as food. We’re still in lockdown here in Peru with the number of new cases still on the rise, therefore, no end in sight. Hope all of you are safe.
“I can be by myself because I'm never lonely; I'm simply alone, living in my heavily populated solitude, a harum-scarum of infinity and eternity, and Infinity and Eternity seem to take a liking to the likes of me.” ― Bohumil Hrabal
In these terrible times, all they care about is their treat. ❤❤❤❤

I have finally finished and published my 5th book, “Path to the Gods.” It’s available on Amazon in print and for the Kindle or Kindle Reader. Here’s the link to purchase it or any of my first four books. I hope all of you are doing well whatever your situation. Our shutdown has been extended till May 10th here in Peru and I have no doubt it will go to the end of May.
“This tremendous world I have inside of me. How to free myself, and this world, without tearing myself to pieces. And rather tear myself to a thousand pieces than be buried with this world within me.” ― Kafka, Franz
Our lockdown has been extended another two weeks here in Peru and I fear that will not be the end of it. It’s hard to be creative with fear so heavy in the air. How will all this end? Where will it leave us? I hope all of you findsomthing in your day that brings a smile to your face.
Pic - something to brighten a dreary day.
“I am a stranger in this world, and there is a severe solitude and painful lonesomeness in my exile.” ― Kahlil Gibran
Like many, if not all of you, we here in Peru are on a “stay in your house” order. Thankfully, we are all healthy. The first 21/2 weeks have been fairly easy on us. We have a nice sized front and back walled in yard and two adorable but at times annoying puppies to entertain us when we get a little bored. I hope all of you are safe and healthy. It has taken a toll on my ability to get out and walk around with my camera but otherwise I’m keeping myself mentally challenged in various ways as I hope all of you are able to do also. Please take care of yourself.

Quilla and Inti take a trip to the park for a sunny day romp. They’re getting sooo big.
“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring--it was peace.”― Milan Kundera

Playing around on a hot summer day.
“You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.” ― Ansel Adams

“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.” ― haruki murakam
The sweet scent of roses. The plumbing work continues. What was supposed to be a three-day project has now turned into a five day one. At least I was able to take a shower last night. LOL
“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” ― Leo Buscaglia
A golden beauty peeks out from behind a leaf. The problems keep mounting. Major plumbing issues are having to be addressed this week. Hoping the Universe gives us a break soon. LOL

I few more new puppy photos, I just couldn’t help myself. We have names now, the female (mostly brown) is named Quilla after the Incan Goddess of the Moon. The male (mostly white) is named Inti after the Incan God of the Sun. I hope you all aren’t overwhelmed with all the adorableness. 🐶
Update: Paul has been back with us for a week now and is recovering nicely. His spirits remain high but he has at least two months and possibly three before the cast can be removed. I’ll try to post intermittently, we have found some part-time help to ease the workload. Hope all of you have been in good health and high spirits.
Pic - we added two additions to our family. No names yet.

Sleepy bird. Sorry friends but I will be offline for a few days. My friend and employee, Paul, was in a motorcycle accident resulting in a broken leg. His family lives a considerable distance from us and I am trying to spend time with him in the hospital and take over the work he does. He is doing fine after the surgery to put pins and a metal plate to help the Tibia heal.Prayers and well wishes are always appreciated.

“Governments, if they endure, always tend increasingly toward aristocratic forms. No government in history has been known to evade this pattern. And as the aristocracy develops, government tends more and more to act exclusively in the interests of the ruling class - whether that class be hereditary royalty, oligarchs of financial empires, or entrenched bureaucracy.― Frank Herbert
