John Wick 2
I really love how unapologetically brutal these movies are. John Wick is a killer and they're not sugar-coating or excusing it. He kills without mercy. He has conscience. But it doesn't stop him from killing. It just is what it is, basically.
Another thing that I love about these movies, is the lore, the rules. These might be silly action flicks but the lore is so detailed and well-plotted, the Continental, the marks, the way the killers treat each other... Sure there are common butchers among them but the best of the best have respect for each other. They will still kill each other but there's respect there. There are franchises out there that could learn tons from the John Wick universe.
Also, I loved seeing so many famous faces here, from Franco Nero and Ian McShane to Samuel L. Jackson and Ruby Rose. Though I felt really sad watching Lance Reddick, knowing that he died, too soon.
Did you see The Sign Special Episode?
No, I haven't yet. It aired at 6AM for me. If it had been two, three months ago, I would've still jumped at the chance and got up to see it, even if I had to pay for it. But as it is, I'm somewhere else fannishly already, the hype kinda fizzled out for me and I don't mind waiting till it's available for free on YT.

Started reading A Quiet Life in the Country, #1 in the Lady Hardcastle Mysteries by T. E. Kinsey, and the moment Lady Hardcastle and her maid Flo called each other "my tiny servant" and "my aging employer" I knew this would be the perfect book for me!
