summer depression aesthetic

  • sleeping in way too late
  • “oh no it’s 4 am and i’m still awake”
  • mindlessly refreshing the same apps over and over
  • picking up a book only to put it down because the words aren’t processing in your brain
  • listening to the same three albums repeatedly
  • either eating every snack you own within an hour or forgetting to eat for like half the day
  • “if i don’t do my summer homework it doesn’t exist”
  • wearing the same sundress three days in a row
  • watching your friends hang out with each other as you stay at home and stare at the wall
  • consistently forgetting to respond to people who text you
  • reminiscing over past summers and how much fun you had then
  • wanting the school year to start but also feeling Crushing Anxiety when you think of how soon it is
  • drinking like a gallon of water every hour or not having any water all day and dehydrating
  • unbrushed hair
  • lying down on the floor
  • “what day is it today”
  • mosquitoes make you feel downright murderous
  • watching movies only to get distracted
  • even sitting around at home makes you tired
  • this is not fun

I have loved Siobhan Sadler from the very first moment she appeared on the screen (well before we even knew her full name). You could immediately see that she was fierce, full of love, and 100% capable of fucking up any living creature that dared to cross her. You could see the love she had for Sarah in her eyes, even as she told Sarah that she’d cut her off from Kira. So much of my love for Siobhan should be credited to Maria Doyle Kennedy’s talent, but as a character in general, she was everything I needed. A mother figure, a badass woman, someone I could trust no matter what, even if the writers tried to convince me otherwise. To me, Siobhan has always been the heart of Orphan Black. She has always run 100% on her love for her family and has never once had a motive beyond protecting those she loves. Siobhan has always been the strongest and most pure-hearted character on Orphan Black, and I will fight anyone that says otherwise.

What was really great in being on set, was that last moment, when they get to be together and press that button to send off the emails and expose Neolution, that was an incredible moment between the two actors. Like, Tatiana was not necessarily meant to cry. It was supposed to be an emotional moment, but she just laughed in joy and she just broke, and it was just tears and she was just weeping. And Evelyne was just like, ‘Oh, my God.’ And holding each other—that moment was so real and so raw between the two of them. I get choked up just by watching it now. It was great to see the end of their arc, basically, as a couple. They’re closer together, and the question just now remains, what will they do with their freedom? Because we know that they’ll be together, but what will they do with their freedom? What does their future look like? Aisha Porter-Christie - OB 5x08 Writer (via TV-Eh)
