Things I want from a spin-off about Cas:

  • bamf!cas
  • cas in armor
  • cas without the trench coat
  • hunter!cas
  • human!cas
  • maybe some more of his backstory before he met Sam and Dean
  • his time in a female vessel (fem!cas ftw)
  • actually just the whole concept of angels having no gender because spn barely scratched the surface of that
  • trueform!cas, budget be damned
  • more of him being a dad to jack (dadstiel ftw)
  • helping jack renovate heaven
  • someone to tell him “i love you” and “you’re important” and things like that

Things I don’t want from a spin-off about Cas:

  • fem!cas just so that he can kiss Dean on screen
  • cas being tortured a lot by other angels or demons or whatever
  • cas being emotionally manipulated

i don't thinkthe supernatural fandom makes castiel weird enough . I think if given the option to listento music he would pull up a youtube video that's just various different high frequencies only dogs are supposed to be able to hear

Castiel: Dean, I have learned a humorous joke.
Dean: Oh this should be good. Go ahead, Cas.
Castiel: Knock. Knock.
Dean: Who’s there?
Castiel: Interrupting moose.
Dean: Interrupting moo-?
Sam: Hi guys! So get this…

people struggle with the idea that dean canonically talks about his feelings in the show because they seem to think the main obstacle in his life is his own obstinate refusal to reach out? and not the fact his needs aren't being met and none of the people in his life can fully help with that because THEIR needs aren't being met either. also all of them kill for a living. turns out it's hard to talk therapy your way out of that

I can't believe that there are people out there who don't see Supernatural as a love story between a man and an angel. Like, how embarrassing.

that one post talking about how supernatural fans know each writer by name and have an opinion on them and it’s like well yeah. one was writing destiel explicitly in the last few seasons, one is on twitter in 2024 saying that he did perceive destiel throughout his time of writing, and the others thought it was appropriate for the night we met by lord huron to be playing while writing a scene between two brothers. like where do you even go with this.

Found-footage style episode but it’s Jack trying to film their lives for some intro-level film class he’s taking as an elective. It ends up being 45 minutes of following Cas around as he clumsily tries to give a tour of the bunker without exposing them (they spend 15 minutes on the kitchen alone. He goes through all of Dean’s spices). Sam keeps sprinting into the frame to hide suspicious/occult/supernatural things and Dean, who refuses to be filmed but keeps ending up in the same room as them anyway, occasionally shuffles through the background with his hand hiding his face like some sort of cryptid. Jack’s professor declares it a brave piece of art depicting the shame and scrutiny experienced by non-traditional families in America and gives him an A.

imagine being Mary Winchester. you come back from the dead after 33 years. you meet your oldest son and his partner. and you realize with some trepidation that he’s literally you and his boyfriend is literally your dead husband. for the first time, you consider the benefits of therapy.
