another cool thing about the season 2 finale is that it confirmed (for me at least) that the way Lu Guang acted at the end of ep 7/beginning of ep 8 was 100% HIM and not Cheng Xiaoshi acting for him
like the whole theory that was that this COULDN'T be Lu Guang
because Lu Guang can't fight
he's the level-headed one
he was INJURED
plus Lu Guang would never act so impulsively,
not even
for Cheng Xiaoshi
Do I even have to say anything?
Of the 19 hijackers who carried out the Sept 11 attacks:
- 15 were from Saudi Arabia (a powerful/oil-rich country the U.S. works hard to maintain diplomatic relations with)
- 2 were from the United Arab Emirates (also a powerful/oil-rich country the U.S. works hard to maintain diplomatic relations with)
- 1 was from Egypt, 1 from Lebanon.
None of the hijackers were from Iraq.
None of the Sept 11 hijackers were Iraqi.
None of the 9/11 hijackers were from Iraq.
This was known at the time. Also known at the time: Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda (a terrorist organization NOT a government) were responsible for the attacks.
- Osama bin Laden (born and raised in Saudia Arabia) was the son of a billionaire who used his inherited wealth to found the terrorist group al-Qaeda
- None of al-Qaeda's founders were Iraqi.
- Saddam Hussein/the Iraqi government had few if any connections to Osama bin Laden/al-Qaeda
- They were completely separate individuals/organizations.
Iraq was not involved in the Sept 11 attacks.
Iraq was not involved in the Sept 11 attacks.
“Hobie, you’re not helping.”
“Good.”
I’m always the back burner friend. The friend that’s always there for everyone, but not important enough to be there for. I’m only moved to the front when it’s convenient. I’m tired.

one of the few times we see ash let his guard down is when hes running to the airport to catch eiji, but then lao ends up stabbing him. its a cruel reminder that vulnerability is a luxury ash does not - or isnt allowed to - have.
Song of Achilles hits in a way few tragedies do for me because of how real the tragedy of the story feels, despite all it’s clichés.
Achilles is every stereotypical hero archetype, showing the flaws of our constant need to put others on a pedestal.
The war and it’s endless blurring of morality is glorified for the sake of honor and tradition, no matter how wrong it is.
Achilles and Patroclus are a pair of star-crossed lovers who would follow each other to the ends of the earth but show it in completely different ways, but never have chance to truly grow and flourish in their relationship.
Do I know that Achilles and Patroclus’ relationship had problems that started from the trauma they both had from LONG before they knew each other? Yes.
Do I know that, had they been given a little more time, had just a little less shame about their scars and failures, they would have given everything to help the other heal? Absolutely.
That is what makes it a tragedy, the fact that, for all they loved each other, their relationship could never be the first priority. They had to think about honor, rumors, the war, the dead, their oaths, the promises they made to other people, and their own morality. They were willing to kill and die for each other, but in the end, they were never given the chance to realize that until it was too late. Patroclus spent his last days endlessly upset with Achilles, and yet, in death, his only thoughts were worry for him. Achilles put fame and honor before Patroclus in a desperate attempt to both justify and prevent his own demise, but the second Patroclus died, everything else was thrown to the wind, including his own safety.
Apollo was jealous of Achilles’ musical ability. Dionysos was jealous of the way everyone listened to Achilles. Aphrodite was jealous of Achilles because he was loved so deeply by his significant other.
But most of all they were jealous of Achilles because he could do the one thing they could never hope for; he could die. They have to grief their lost partners forever, but Achilles could find the love of his life again in the next one.
i like it when male waiters are cute… bring me some mozzarella sticks, pretty boy
gets a time machine and travels back to the 1970s picks up some gay dude with really high waisted jeans and brings him back to the modern day overall he is disappointed with the state of the world today but he still believes in the power of love and homosexuality i give him a computer and hes fine with all that but thinks that social media is quite orwellian he does make a tumblr blog tho and uses it to reblog pictures of shirtless men and digital fanart of media that he has not yet heard of but he finds the styles entrancing. he makes a post about his interpretation of the exorcist as a gay film which really blows up and makes people think but ultimately he is canceled for using outdated slurs
