it's kind of crazy climate change has occurred at such a remarkable pace that I and everyone else around my age can remember a completely different climate in our childhoods. I truly watched winter gradually disappear in my life.
"You're too young to remember this, but there used to be so many insects outside that you would have to clean them off the windshield after a long car ride" is the kind of sentence that would have been in a cheesy scifi short story earlier in my life, perhaps submitted to a literary magazine and accepted to show support for its environmentalist message - now it's something I've said in earnest.
please elaborate in tags :)

and it has this background music, "Beauty Queen" by Vienna Vienna. Well:
The video's description has the lyrics and the artist's gloss:
"Beauty Queen is a song I never thought would see the light of day. It’s a desperate, unfiltered plea for acceptance, and a yearning to be seen, while simultaneously hiding everything. It captures a feeling that, for years, I hadn’t been able to escape as a closeted Queer person. It’s the first song I’m releasing in a long line of (finally) sincere music. I’m excited to share this new chapter with you, and the world." -Vienna Vienna LYRICS: You’re like a wave you always pull me in but with the moon you push away again Letting me know If I’m not perfect, I’m not anything Now it’s raining with adrenaline I overdose Some days you dress me and it’s beautiful Some days I’m naked with nothing to hold Tell me you hate me, and it’s all my fault I must be crazy Let me be your beauty queen Wrap me up in therapy You could be my everything I’ll do anything, I’ll do anything, anything I’ll be your beauty queen Now I’m dancing with your ghost again Everytime we die you fill me in, I’m diagnosed Something wrong I feel it sinking in Then we start to float away again To the unknown Some days you dress me and it’s beautiful Some days I’m naked with nothing to hold Tell me you hate me, and it’s all my fault I must be crazy Let me be your beauty queen Wrap me up in therapy You could be my everything I’ll do anything, I’ll do anything, anything I– I’ll be your beauty queen If you let me in Then I’ll, then I’ll, then I’ll Let me in and I’ll, and I’ll- If you let me in At all, at all Let me be your beauty queen Wrap me up in therapy You could be my everything I’ll do anything, I’ll do anything
