Yuri totally told Raven to look after Repede and the Old Man may have spent too much on him because Repede made him do so.

He wasn’t even aware it was even a date to begin with.
[ I know I just kinda recently came back, but with the color saturation change, I haven’t been on. I liked it on first because I saw it on mobile, but once I logged on through my laptop, I soon got a headache. I’m pretty prone to migraines, so it’s risky for me to be on tumblr now. I’ll probably lurk on mobile, but I don’t really like rping on mobile, so I really don’t know what’s going to happen with my activity. ]
I feel like an asshole for saying this but I kinda hate how the main thing people use to describe Repede is good boy.
Not because I hate people being like “Oh this dog is such a good boy” (I don’t) but because I feel like it’s kind of an insult to his character, both in what it is and his depth.
I feel like calling him a dog is actually insulting to his character! ‘Good boy,’ is not so bad. It’s just a form of modern language these days that they even use it on humans, monsters, etc type characters.
Repede is Repede.
He’s himself and not what anyone thinks him as. It actually upsets me greatly when people do call him a ‘dog’ or ‘just a dog.’ He’s so much more than that. It’s disrespecting what he sees himself as, and while Yuri says he can’t fully understand what Repede’s saying, he’s known him for so long, that he’s picked up on how he feels and what he’s thinking. There’s even at one point where Judith thinks Yuri doesn’t need to know ‘exactly’ what he’s saying, because he already does, even without the translation of barks. With her bond with Ba’ul, I believe she’s the right person that would know best to see how close they are.
But even Yuri mentions that Repede doesn’t think himself as a dog, but that doesn’t mean he thinks himself as a human either. Repede is Repede.
I know Yuri calls him a dog sometimes, but it’s when others treat him like a dog that’s more disrespectful. First encounter with Estelle, she asks Yuri “Is this dog your’s?” It dismisses the idea that he’s his own being too. With thoughts, personality, feelings, etc. like everyone else. She’s already downgrading him as ‘a pet’ or ‘someone’s belonging.’ And with Karol, he attacked him out of nowhere thinking he was a monster. Repede didn’t take too kindly to that and doesn’t like to be treated as a monster. In fact, one of his titles says “Don’t treat him like a monster!” Karol also thinks of him as a dog, tries to pet him at times, and doesn’t quite understand why he uses a dagger instead of his claws and teeth. Estelle is very much the same. She tries to ‘get him to like her.’ Sometimes even trying to pet him as well, or asking if she can ‘scratch behind his ears’ and she even tried to force herself on him when she saw Judith get along with him right off the bat.
Now with Judith, she approached Repede the right way. “Is he part of the group too?” She acknowledges him. And treats him with respect. She sees Repede as Repede, and she knows better because of her bond with Ba’ul!
Ba’ul’s not a monster, and neither are any of the other Entelexia. It’s why Judith and Duke get angry/upset when others refer to them as a monster. And in Duke’s words “It’s a disservice to them.” Because people automatically jump and think they’re some kind of terrifying beast that’s going to kill them. It’s pretty much the same case with Repede.
The Entelexeia and Repede are being labeled as something they are not before others get to know them first and see them for who they are.

The flowers of the tree of Halure were always quite a sight to take in. Repede sat beneath it as he watched falling flowers and flower petals drift on by in the gentle breeze. He was waiting for Yuri to come back, as was Sodia with Flynn. So the two found each other in one another’s company. Spending their time as they see fit.
Repede glances over at Sodia, Flynn’s second in command to see what she was up to, and what he saw was surprising. She appeared to be making a ring of flowers! If it were anyone else, they’d probably comment on how it seemed unlike her. Sodia was tough and rough around the edges. Very sharp and serious. One that didn’t bother with such simple pleasure, but here she was, in a different light. Her facial expression and demeanor seemed calm, and even peaceful. This was, a softer side to her…
A flower lands on top of his nose in the midst of his wonder, and he blinks, a little surprised before huffing it off and gently grabbing the tip of the petal with his maw.
He makes his way over to Sodia and offers her the flower. She’s caught a little by surprise, but thanks him, using the flower he had offered her to finish her ring of flowers. Repede sniffs at it curiously, but soon finds himself with it placed on-top of his head.
“…?” Repede seems puzzled by it at first, but catches on that it was a gift. She had taken the time to make it for him and he’s grateful for it. So in response, he gives a gentle bark, in means to voice his thanks. He thinks it’s lovely~.

For once he’s not entirely sure what Yuri’s talking about. He at least gets the idea of someone being unsupportive, but he’ll need to know how to scold them, so Yuri’s met with a puzzled expression.
Today my first RP blog in the Tales fandom, Sodia, turns five years old. I know I haven’t been very active, and life tends to drag me away for long periods of time, but at the end of the day this community is my home. Writing has always helped me get through the toughest parts of my life and will always be a part of who I am. So to all of you, from those who are no longer around to those who have been a pillar of activity in the community–thank you for being here with me. I wouldn’t be here without you guys.

To celebrate my anniversary–and the bonds we’ve made in and out of character–the prize can reflect the relationships we’ve established in our writing. “Hrrrr…” Repede can see his companion’s embarrassed. Yuri got himself in quite the mess this time, didn’t he? But that choice was not his own. He wasn’t keeping him. Though he tosses his head to the side, looking ahead. If something bothered him, look the other way and let it go. Show you don’t really care. That way it won’t be so easy to be a target for potential embarrassment. He’s certain his partner would be able to pull it off.
‘ i’ll have you know i stubbed my toe last week and only cried for 20 minutes. ‘

Always playing jokes and not taking things seriously, but that’s just how he was. And he acted rather similar to the bird he was ‘named’ after.
“Hrrrmm,” Repede’s not amused and gives Raven a look. He knows his game, and how this whole facade was just a cover of how he truly felt. Something was probably eating at him, and Repede tended to be the best source of comfort when someone was down.
He lets out a sigh and strides his way to the Old Man’s side, sitting next to him. Raven may not be able to understand him as well as Yuri, but maybe he at least caught on to this.

Sodia was a strange one. She may not get along with his partner, but he can see that she was not all that bad either. Repede's carrying a small cloth bag. It's not tied, unfortunately. He would if he could, but he leaves the tiny bag behind for Sodia to find. Instead is one of the many treasures he has the habit of hoarding. It's a clear dragon's scale. Which shimmers in the light.
“For me?” Sodia knelt down to open the bag, light catching on the dragon scale. Gingerly picking it up, she admired how intact it was and the way the light shined through the translucent material. Some noble ladies would ask for flowers or expensive jewelry, but this suited Sodia just fine. “Thank you very much, Repede. It’s beautiful.”
She tucked it away carefully, not wanting to scratch or chip it.
‘ oh well , i guess i’m not wearing any pants today. ‘
Yuri’s pants were his now! It was all part of the training to be a great warrior like those before him! How else would he be one if he didn’t train hard? The small pup growled furiously, tiny fangs sinking into the fabric of the pants as he attempted to tear it to shreds. He’s dragging it across the room and swinging it about even with his small body.
Repede even flings the pants at Yuri’s legs, using him as his ‘sparing partner.’
