I decided to make a custom commander Avacyn card since mtg decided not to. Enjoy 😊

Ok I was pissed Avacyn didn't get this art treatment. I am so happy you created this! So beautiful 😍

"Don't call every game runner a DM, that reinforces WotC's hegemony" Maybe so, but they're trying to trademark the phrase "Dungeon Master" before it becomes generic like bandaid or kleenex and I want to take that away from them

I comissioned the amazing @planetsandmagic to create this gorgeous art of Wrathborn Osiris from my fic ‘Forged in Wrath and Ruin’ and I am absolutely blown away by how stunning it is!!! The colours! The fire! The wings!!! The tiny glimpses of Hive runes on bits of exposed skin! The expression on his face even with his scarf!

I am just gonna stare at it for days! @planetsandmagic does amazing work so go and check out their stuff! [ID: A man wearing long dark robes, a bird-like cowl, and a scarf over the bottom half of his face walks through a field of twisting fire. He is carrying two glowing swords and wearing glowing bracers. He has wings of dark fire spreading out behind and above him. At various points on his body, there are glowing green runes.]

Skip Google for Research

As Google has worked to overtake the internet, its search algorithm has not just gotten worse.  It has been designed to prioritize advertisers and popular pages often times excluding pages and content that better matches your search terms

As a writer in need of information for my stories, I find this unacceptable.  As a proponent of availability of information so the populace can actually educate itself, it is unforgivable.

Below is a concise list of useful research sites compiled by Edward Clark over on Facebook. I was familiar with some, but not all of these.

Google is so powerful that it “hides” other search systems from us. We just don’t know the existence of most of them. Meanwhile, there are still a huge number of excellent searchers in the world who specialize in books, science, other smart information. Keep a list of sites you never heard of.

www.refseek.com - Academic Resource Search. More than a billion sources: encyclopedia, monographies, magazines.

www.worldcat.org - a search for the contents of 20 thousand worldwide libraries. Find out where lies the nearest rare book you need.

https://link.springer.com - access to more than 10 million scientific documents: books, articles, research protocols.

www.bioline.org.br is a library of scientific bioscience journals published in developing countries.

http://repec.org - volunteers from 102 countries have collected almost 4 million publications on economics and related science.

www.science.gov is an American state search engine on 2200+ scientific sites. More than 200 million articles are indexed.

www.pdfdrive.com is the largest website for free download of books in PDF format. Claiming over 225 million names.

www.base-search.net is one of the most powerful researches on academic studies texts. More than 100 million scientific documents, 70% of them are free

how do you distract yourself from constant loneliness though

no matter what i do i'm lonely

I know the feeling.

I've found that acts of service tend to alleviate my loneliness and depression for a while. Volunteering at an animal shelter or soup kitchen, it sort of makes you feel part of something larger than yourself, and that helps me feel less lonely.

I hope you can find your thing that helps you bear the loneliness.

the ps5 has even less games than the ps3, which is impressive considering the ps3 did not have a single game

On this day one year ago, I was fired from Crumbl Cookies because my grandfather suddenly died and I cried when I found out and was on the clock. They make you sign a waiver to not talk about the recipes that lasts one year after your termination. Well guess what babes. That day, is today. RIP Nanu, you’ve been missed. But for anyone who likes the Chocolate Chip Cookies or the Iced Sugar Cookies, check out the recipes in the links. Feel free to ask about other recipes, it’s been a year but some things are just reskinned versions of these lol. Good Luck and Happy Baking.

Is it correct to assume you have non interest in making effects that return junkyard-ed card to the Attraction deck or Battlefield? And if that's the case, what practical function does the junkyard zone serve? Why not just send Attractions to exile instead?

Avatar

Sadly, they are more removed being in the junkyard than exile.

Also, I believe that all decks should have their own discard pile.

A discard pile for each different deck is a built in safety valve. They can keep doing normal artifact recursion and whatever other normal graveyard interaction without having to worry about and test it for any secondary decks. And if they later want to do some sort of recursion from the secondary discard piles they can cost it appropriately for that without fear that it will break the normal graveyard.

I think some of the apprehension is the flavorful names and especially that junkyard and scrapyard are largely synonymous. But ignoring that flavorful thing there is a very legitimate and useful design reason to keep them separate.
