Scam Alert - Commissioning Artists Beware

Artists, there’s a scam going around on Twitter at the minute, and you never know, someone might try it over here.

This guy is messaging commissioning artists and attempting to gain access to their PayPal by pretending to need a code to pay the bill. Obviously we all know that’s bull, but if someone isn’t paying attention, is unfamiliar with PayPal commissions as a whole, or is just desperate enough for that commission money?  They might fall for it. OP’s tweet here.

PayPal will not require a code for someone to complete payment.

It’s just not how it works, I know it, you know it, the scammer knows it.  But he’s gambling on the potential that someone (and that someone is mostly likely to be a young, new artist without much commission experience under their belt, let’s be honest) doesn’t know it.  Let’s make sure everyone does. So if you’d be so kind, please boost the everliving hell out of this.  Don’t let anyone fall prey to this shady, shady individual, either here or on twitter or anywhere else.

Tales of Name Meanings

Phantasia: a different spelling of Fantasia. But really it’s Fantasy. Story of a fantasy world.

Destiny: Five of the playable characters are destined to wield special swords and save the world. It’s mainly their story.

Eternia: Double meaning. Eternia is “RPG of Eternity and Bonds” but also there’s a place in the game called Eternia which put the plot into motion.

Destiny 2: Sequel to Destiny. However now it’s about ‘defying’ fate or events that have already happened.

Symphonia: Symphony. A symphony is a bunch of instruments working to together in harmony. The story is about bringing to worlds together like they were meant to. Also Symphonia is the prequel to Phantasia and a Fantasia is also musical composition like a Symphony.

Rebirth: “RPG where you will be Reborn.” Tale about ridding racial conflicts and giving ‘rebirth’ to the world where there is no racism.

Legendia: “RPG where Bonds spin Legends.” From what I can gather the party chases after Legends in the game and the main female protagonist is presumed to be apart of legend that will save the world.

Abyss: In game meaning. The world is actually living high above the earth itself and the story is about safely bringing the world back down the earth, or the abyss.

Innocence: The main characters are reincarnations of a species that is hated by this world equivalent of humans and are being targeted despite themselves having done nothing wrong in their current life.

Vesperia: In game meaning. Vesperia is the brightest star in the world and one of main characters creates a guild called ‘Brave Vesperia.’ It’s the Tale of that guild and their companions.

Hearts: Double meaning. People’s weapons are manifests of their hearts or spiria. Also two of the characters last name is Hearts and the plot begins when the main protagonists meets the Hearts siblings.

Graces: A bit ambiguous. Most of the party comes from high notability or position of power (King, Lord, Military Intructor, Butler’s Granddaughter, and so on) and ‘grace’ is a term used for people of such position.

Xillia + 2: Double meaning. XILL can be read as XIII which is Roman numeral of 13 and Xillia is the 13 main game in the franchise. Also Xillia comes from Zillion which is a large number. This meaning connects more to Xillia 2 as it deals with the million of different dimensions caused by countless different possiblilties that could have occurred.

Zestiria: “RPG of Passion Lighting the World.” Zest can be a synonym for passion.

Berseria: Comes from Berserk. Velvet is pissed.
