Jedi Padawans have the classic sitcom bag-of-flour baby assignment to ensure they're prepared to look after young ones in emergency situations
this assessment is not one of the many canceled or postponed during the war
which means that when Ahsoka is abruptly deployed dirtside along with her Master, Grandmaster, and the 501st, she had to scramble to find an appropriate babysitter for her sack of flour
desperate, she tossed it to Commander Cody, who was staying aboard the Negotiator to oversee the campaign, with only a frantic list of the required steps to take care of it while she was gone
when she returns several days later, Cody has painted the sack 212th gold and constructed a sling to carry it around on his front while he keeps his hands free for work
judging by the rank pins attached to the front, the sack of flour is now a lieutenant
once Obi-Wan's heart eyes abate enough, though, it becomes clear to him that Cody and the 212th troopers have not understood that the sack of flour is not, in fact, a literal Jedi tubie
and none of the Jedi or their siblings in the 501st have the heart to correct them, so they let them keep the thing, stomping on the feet of anyone who tries to ask too many questions about their new mascot
once the war ends, Obi-Wan discreetly replaces the sack with a Jedi chrecheling in the middle of the night, having resigned himself to raising another too-young-Padawan
Reva, for her part, is all to happy to gleefully coat herself in flour for the occasion
Can you imagine how excited the 212th must be that their Jedi Tubie hatched, and at the rank of Major (having been promoted a few times). They are all so proud.
The first thing that popped into my head was a meme. See above. Lbr though. The troopers are plenty smart. They're not fooled by the bag of flour. Not really. No. It's more likely that the Vod'e are just ??????ing over this bizarre natborn custom and rolling with it in a way that they can (very subtly) make fun of it. So when they suddenly get a real tubie out of the deal, they're ecstatic and (more or less rightly) decide this is a (karking bizarre, natborns wtf?) way of making sure a potential partner is capable of taking care of a tubie, without actually risking one. But hey, the commander passed with flying colours, apparently, so hooray. But it's not just him who got to take care of the "baby". So does that mean they're ALL being offered a tubie? It kind of has to. And if they're collectively being offered a Jedi tubie by their general... does that mean he's marrying the whole company? Hmmmm.

I just read ur legally blonde Jedi au fic in like. 3 hours and it’s SO good holy shit!!! I’m a bit new to Star Wars (I’m scared to watch the movies bc my brain has just made up it’s own universe based on the fics I’ve read and I don’t want the movies to contradict that just yet hfndhdhd) and this was my first long fic with Maul in it and just. AUHG!! The way you wrote him is beautiful. It hurt but in a bittersweet way, learning abt his backstory and I’m so glad he has obi wan and anakin now. I love mag btw, it made me so happy when obi saved him and then to realize that it was maul threatening that senator. get fuckin dunked on, creep! he doesn’t realize how lucky he was that maul didn’t kill him. I can’t wait for the next chapter!!!

I'm so glad that you're having fun with the legally blonde universe! Maul has like... one of the saddest if not THE saddest backstory, imo. I love him??? And there's never enough good content out there that's Maul!centric!! I wanted to make a fic that centered my two favorite aspects of the prequels/clone-wars universe: the clones and Maul. There's a lot of parallels there that don't tend to get explored. Obi-Wan is somewhat... incidental? To that? adfjfjkfhlkj honestly, he is the medium via which I am giving canon a good thrashing.
[DEEP INHALE] I LOVE THE TWO STRIKES SERIES I FUCKING LOVE IT WITH MY WHOLE ASS AND HEART AND BALLS!!!! I found out that @quarra follows me the other day and just about pissed myself so that was Cool (mommy? sorry. mommy? sorry moment). The clone-culture that exists in the Two Strikes universe is like... PEAK clone culture in my humble opinion. Sometimes when I need a jolt of inspiration to start writing, I like to revisit my favorites, and I consistently go back to Two Strikes in order to recapture the magic of writing in the Clone Wars era. It has ALL THE VIBES. We love the fics that make you see canon through a different lense... Two Strikes does that for me beautifully.

I'm more the opposite kind of brain to yours though, and when I'm actively writing I read almost no fic at all, but I'm really pleased to hear that our fic helps inspire you. We both had a toooooooonnnn of fun writing the Two Strikes 'verse and I'll miss it once it's done and dusted.

I leave the elevator. I probably have an appointment, but I can’t remember where, or what for. I sit down on the floor by the elevator doors. I sob for a full minute. I take the elevator back downstairs, I walk home, I collapse in bed and rub one out thinking of darth vader. I feel better.
Five minutes later, I think about this ask again, and my whole world collapses again. It’s only Tuesday. I sigh heavily and sit down to write this reply.-

The unintelligible chanting that echoed through the Aztec temple to reach him was an unpleasant surprise. Tony bit back a groan. Why did his luck always seem to run bad? Somehow every trip he went on seemed to end in him running into these kinds of complications.
(Yes, I’ve got some more IM Noir in the pipeline ehehehe.) I’m including more than one sentence here, because otherwise it’d be a bit silly. Now, let’s see, tags... I’m not going to tag a ridiculous number of people, and those who do get tagged can take part at their discretion.
