Seriously, if you see this happening and you can speak up…do. If you are unable see if you can find someone who will help.

*Signal Boost*

British pay-TV broadcaster Sky is taking one of its originals to Comic Con for the first time – launching fantasy epic A Discovery of Witches at the San Diego event. It comes as the company revealed that a U.S. broadcaster is expected to be announced shortly – possibly at the event, which takes place July 18-22.

The cast of the series, including Teresa Palmer, Matthew Goode, Alex Kingston and Owen Teale, will attend the confab alongside author Deborah Harkness and producer Jane Tranter from production company Bad Wolf.

Downton Abbey and The Good Wife star Goode stars as vampire Matthew Clairmont, while Hacksaw Ridge‘s Teresa Palmer plays heroine Diana Bishop in the series, which is produced by Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner’s Bad Wolf. It will air on Sky One later this year.

Discovery Of Witches is the first instalment of Harkness’ All Souls Trilogy, which has sold more than 3.5M copies worldwide. Originally published in 2011, Discovery is the story of Diana, a young scholar at Oxford who is a descendant of the Salem witches. When she accidentally unlocks an enchanted manuscript, she is compelled to embrace the magic in her blood and enters a forbidden romance with charming 1,500-year-old vampire Matthew. The second All Souls novel, Shadow Of Night, was published in 2012 followed by The Book Of Life in 2014.

Kate Brooke (Mr Selfridge) penned the adaptation and is showrunner. Tranter, Gardner and Harkness are exec producers.

It is the latest high-profile series to head down to San Diego following news of Warner Bros shows such as Riverdale, Arrow, Black Lightning, The Big Bang Theory, Castle Rock, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, as well as the world premiere of Castle Rock as well as the world premiere screening of the pilot for mystery drama Manifest.

Full details of the panel are expected soon.

Yes yes yes I’m so excited for this!

I don't know how many will read this......

Because I mainly reblog posts from bloggers I follow and admire like @mama-tumblz, @flocklander, @cb4tb and @sherrigamblin as they write more eloquently (and humorously) than I ever will. But I feel compelled to say something about this very current narrative. I’m not going to stay silent. I’m going to continue to post beautiful pictures of Sam and Caitriona…..together. I’m going to continue to espouse my belief in their character, integrity and their so obvious love for each other. And even if I continue to find pictures with peripherals, innuendo from said peripherals or thumbs up from old has beens it will not sway me in my beliefs…..and I will not stay silent!! #bettertogether #obviously

Don’t mind if I join you @judikins929!

Things get steamy in first A Discovery of Witches trailer

Sky1’s new vampire-witch romance stars Matthew Goode and Teresa Palmer

Forget Twilight, True Blood or The Vampire Diaries – the next big supernatural romance to look out for is A Discovery of Witches, a new series coming to Sky1 later this year and adapted from the Deborah Harkness novel of the same name.
And now fans are getting a first look at exactly how the torrid relationship between a vampire (Matthew Goode) and a witch (Teresa Palmer) will play out, thanks to a brand-new trailer for the series (the first official one after one or two teasers) that ramps up the romance.
Apart from all the sauciness, A Discovery of Witches will follow the story of bloodsucker Matthew Clairmont and “spellbound” magic user Diana as they hunt down a mysterious magic text that could save both their peoples from extinction.
However, different supernatural factions see this as an opportunity to take control of the world, while the taboo against Matthew and Diana’s relationship brings all sorts of trouble to the new couple.
As you can see in the trailer the action takes place in Oxford and various picturesque European locations, with cast members including Doctor Who’s Alex Kingston, Sherlock’s Lindsay Duncan and Louise Brealey and Game of Thrones’ Owen Teale. It’s an exciting time for both fans of the original novels and newcomers looking for their next fantasy fix – hopefully the new adaptation will cast a spell over them all.
A Discovery of Witches airs on Sky One this autumn

More ADoW reporting in US today!

A Discovery of Witches, the television series adaptation of Deborah Harkness’ fantasy trilogy, doesn’t yet have a U.S. distributor (that’s been announced). But this week brings an extended new look at the story of witch Diana Bishop (Teresa Palmer), vampire Matthew Clairmont (Matthew Goode), and the coveted tome that is Ashmole 782.
The fresh footage lays out the plot of the series, which is directly lifted from the books. While at Oxford, Diana, “an astonishingly powerful” but untrained witch, stumbles upon a magical tome that’s long been sought by the three magical species: witches, vampires, and daemons.
The discovery garners the attention of Matthew, one of those searching for the book, but his attraction to Diana complicates the matters as other mysterious and dangerous forces come looking for the tome and the only known witch who was able to conjure it.
There’s the Covenant, the governing body of mystical creatures, that prevents “interspecies relationships.” But things, as you can plainly see, get steamy anyway as a magical war threatens to break out.
Also spotted in the trailer are Alex Kingston (Doctor Who) as Diana’s aunt Sarah Bishop, Valarie Pettiford (The Blacklist) as Sarah’s partner Emily Mather, Lindsey Duncan (The Leftovers) as Matthew’s mother Ysabeau, Owen Teale (Game of Thrones) as power-hungry witch Peter Knox, Edward Bluemel (House Finch) as vampire Marcus, and Daniel Ezra (BBC’s Undercover) as daemon Nathaniel Wilson.
A Discovery of Witches, from Bad Wolf and Sky Productions, will air on Sky One this year in the U.K. Harkness reiterates in a post on Facebook that she doesn’t “have any more broadcaster information I can share for other countries.” So for everyone else, the search for a premiere date continues.

Some LETTERBOX DAMSEL REVIEWS written by the public that mention Rob and his performance as Samuel Alabaster.

Robert Pattinson continues his streak of wacky, surprisingly phenomenal indies. Holy sh*t, Robert Pattinson is really good at acting. Worth seeing for his performance alone.

I love every decision Robert Pattinson made in this movie starting from the surprised glee on his face as he’s dancing in a barn.

It’s entirely worth watching just for Robert Pattinson’s hysterical and (now typically) transformative performance.

The best is probably Robert Pattinson’s hilarious performance as an enthusiastic loon looking to marry his true love no matter what the obstacle.

I love Robert Pattinson being a f*cking weirdo okay he’s in his acting prime.
