so, recently i reached 200 followers, and considering i’ve only had this blog for around 2 months that is amazing. it’s the highest amount of followers one of my rp blogs has ever gotten, and i’m honestly so flattered that you guys find me worthy of following. you’ve all made my time writing magnus so much fun, and i don’t think i’ve ever felt as comfortable in a rp community as i have in the shadowhunters/tmi one, so i wanted to just say thank you to all of you with a follow forever. i love seeing all of you on my dash, and i look forward to roleplaying with more of you in the future. keep doing what you’re doing <3

bold = people i have threads with and basically adore. seeing all of you guys and your writing and having your replies pop into my activity makes my day. (and thanks for being patient with me because i’m a slowcoach who takes forever to reply.) normal = people i’ve yet to roleplay with but stalk admire from afar. i love seeing all of your portrayals so much and i really look forward to hopefully getting to roleplay with all of you one day

worried starters

trigger warnings apply! ( mental illness, drugs and alcohol use, self-destructive behaviours, and vomiting )

“You haven’t slept for days, have you?” “Are you eating properly? You don’t look it.” “Why do you keep stumbling over your words? Just how tired are you?” “You need to think about yourself every once in a while.” “I know your work is important, but you’re going to end up in hospital if you go on like this!” “You haven’t even touched your food. What’s going on?” “You look so… empty. I’m worried for you, please talk to me.” “Are you alright in there? You’re so quiet.” “How did you get these bruises? Please don’t lie to me.” “There’s something bothering you that you’re not telling me and I can see it slowly destroying you. What happened?” “You’re sleep deprived and you haven’t been eating. Why do you think you’re feeling dizzy?” “I can give you some pills to help you sleep. They aren’t healthy, but this is even less healthy.” “If you didn’t just blink I would’ve sworn you were dead, that’s how sickly you’re looking. Go to bed, please!” “Have you drank all of these bottles in one weekend?!” “I know you don’t want this, but it’s for your own good. Sign the papers so they can pick you up tomorrow and you can get clean.” “What the hell are you doing?! Did you do that to yourself?!” “When was the last time you left the house? Or opened the curtains for that matter.” “Here, just keep breathing. It’ll be okay. Better out than in…” “This can’t go on like this! You’re not eating, you’re not sleeping, you barely talk!” “I’m sorry. I went through your room and found this. Explain what the hell this is doing in your room!” “I thought you’d quit! How long have you been lying to me?” “I’m only trying to help and right now I think I have a much better idea of what you need than you do.” “Did you take anything? Why are you passing out? Hey! Stay with me!”

Immortal Discoveries | Gen & Elijah

The woman should have considered                    what she may have gotten herself into far           before it had gotten to this point.

New Orleans, it was different than her home of France and yet also heralded echos of a past that would never quite be forgotten. It was a new world, yet one plagued by monsters of the night bent on turning others to their will. Had they no regard for those whom would perish under their thumbs of power? Even as vampires, did they not understand the suffering they would cause? Or was it that they were incapable of caring? Of these things Genevieve could not know for sure, her observations of the Mikaelson family mixed, and confused as she bore witness to both cruelty and empathy in fractured measure.

But the woman had been discovered, taken by a group of vampires who served the leader-- Niklaus. She remained defiant, vervain in her system pretending them from compelling her. A hidden stake within her dress had allowed her to kill one of her captors, fleeing into the dark streets with little place to hide...

...There was a fire in her spirit, in her refusal to be taken without a fight, to be killed without one either-- even if she could not truly be killed. And so she runs until eyes present themselves in every direction. Her own connection with the gaze of one of them-- an Original-- but not the one who led them, only for darkness to suddenly blind her when one of the other vampires suddenly rips out her heart and she drops to the ground.

Her body disappears before their eyes, her awakening some time later in a body of water not too far from the location. There’s a gasp, momentary confusion, and then a calm peace that finds her as she climbs out of the water and steals clothing to cover herself. Yet now, as she moves through the streets again, eyes follow her and she turns on her heel, a broken piece of wood extended to the person’s neck only for shock to cause momentary hesitation. It was the same vampire she’d seen before.

Vampires. He hated them sometimes. These vampires had broken the accords and he had been sent out to find them. What they hadn’t expected was a NEST full of vampires. It was what had gotten him thrown into the basement and he landed on the ground with a grunt before pushing himself up to a standing position.

Teeth clenched together as he watched the vampire leave. Unlike the woman, Alec’s bow was not broken, but they had taken it along with his bow and arrows. The only mistake they had made was not patting him down. He still had a blade hidden on his person. A weapon that he could easily use while he tried to find his bow and quiver.

Only after the woman spoke did he notice she was there and he turned to face her, “I’m fine.” He said, swiftly moving over to the door. While the basement door was locked, he should be able to unlock it with a run. It seemed as if these vampires were dumber than they looked. “Yeah, I’m a shadowhunter. Listen, I’m going to get us out of here but you’re going to have to stay close to me, alright?”

Genevieve had bore witness to her fair share of vampiric calamities in the almost two hundred years she had walked this Earth and they rated one of the creatures disliked the most. That wasn’t to say everyone was bad-- but the bad apples often made it difficult to see past the decent. Of course, Immortal as she was, Gen was not a vampire nor even inhuman for that matter. What she was was an abnormality, an enigma. What she was was cursed.

The woman’s attention on the teenager, she allowed her gaze to move from him, to partially covered area of the floor and back again. “I ‘ave already attempted to zpark an explosion in zee lock. I do not zink zey considered someone may ‘ave c’emical knowledge when zey locked me in ere.” Gen stated gesturing toward some of the various materials on shelves. “Sadly it did not work.” There’s a pause as she gives him a strange look, as if something he said may have offended her.

“I am perfectly able to take care of myself. I just may ‘ave under estimated ‘ow many vampires were ‘ere.” Gen reveals as she moves a small tarp, showing him a makeshift stake that she had created from pieces of her broken bow. “You break us out of ‘ere and get yourself out. I ‘ave unfinished business ‘ere.” Namely in the form of the child they had taken-- a child who’s parents she had met and who had first led her on the path to these vampires in the first place-- and that she determined to save.
