the city where we live doesn't allow public barbecues so my brother fucking welded a grill to a handcart and now hosts "chill and grill sessions" where he sends all his friends his live location so they can hunt him down on their bikes with sausages in their backpacks while he carts it around evading the police like some sort of barbecue vigilante, grilling on the run. i have never been prouder of him

*buys a half gallon of milk* *uses it all within a few days* *decided to buy a gallon of milk to not run out before next shopping trip* *uses a teaspoon of milk that week and it goes bad somehow* *buys a quart of milk instead so it won’t go bad* *uses it in one day* *buys a quart and a half gallon of milk because the gallon was too much but the half gallon was not enough* *only uses the half gallon* *gives up on milk for a few days in general* *buys a gallon of milk again just to tempt fate* *somehow uses all of it without realizing and then has to eat sad cereal with like the 5 drops of remaining milk*
Get lactose free milk. Tastes and feels exactly the same but for some reason lasts like months?? Someone else can explain I’m sure because heck if I know

#I was just talking to a friend about how tumblr has REALLY GOOD FEATURES for a social media website#like my number one right off the bat is blocking tags#spoilers? blocked. triggers? blocked. sick of seeing the same fandom you’re never gonna get into? block. it’s so useful but genuinely great#for cultivating your own online experience#don’t want who you follow or what you like to be public? no problem!#also just I love having it be good for both text and images#I’ve had my gripes with image quality but got DAMN is it better than insta#and you get whatever dimensions you want and you can zoom in on detail#NO. VIDEOS. AUTOPLAYING AND SHOVED IN YOUR FACE.#I’m less inclined to doom scroll because I just look at my dashboard and log off when I get to yesterday’s stuff#I actually really really dig this site#I’m a little sad though that the reblog/comment culture ain’t the same as it was just a few years ago#but that isn’t the fault of the site but the users’ habits#oh oh also the ask box and submissions features. those are cool#oh also your follower count isn’t shown. that’s nice#and I just generally like the tumblr lingo memes and culture on here. it’s like a big inside joke. More shenanigans involving Dante, a character from my wip illustrated novel about 19th century artists. Back then, most paints are made of highly toxic ingredients such as lead, mercury, and arsenic (for the the infamous color: Paris Green).
