hello out there! a big THANK YOU to everyone who has read & commented on ch26 so far. Y’all are rejuvenating me so thank you very much. The following snippet is from 27 of between the lines which I am still working on. I was hoping to get some writing done on my business trip but ALAS! I’ve mostly been drawing. Can’t think with my brain. Maybe tonight; we’ll see.

Baz POV.

I’ve also decided that I want to try to illustrate moments from earlier chapters of the fic that I’ve always wanted to see in art but didn’t have the skill for back in the day. (Still not sure if I have the skill, but I’m certainly going to try!) This one is the scene where Baz tells Simon about his OCD (chapter…11) (had to check).

I admittedly don’t recall if Simon had his glasses on in this scene so I do need to revisit & double-check. I’m just so used to putting him in glasses at this point (Baz appreciates it, you know). (Lol just checked & he does not have them on so guess this version isn't BTL canon 🤣.)

WIP Wednesday

Thanks for the tag @rimeswithpurple. Baby Baz and Dev are so cute I want to pinch their little cheeks! (And that little skating outfit is perfect!)

I have no real progress to report on the new WIP. I started a chapter. It is a mess, but first drafts are supposed to be terrible, yes?

Instead, let’s play a game. For those who've kept up with The Eternal Life of Baz Pitch, you can find a snippet of Chapter 7 past Baz under the cut. Can you fill in the blanks correctly?

Chapter 26

BAZ

I don’t know how long I’ve been reading.

I’ve gotten a bit lost in the pages, I think, which is a relief from the torment of my thoughts—

No, no; don’t think about your bloody thoughts.

Snow’s here, and he’s warm, and very fucking distracting. He’s had the audacity to invade my periphery this entire time. A flash of horn-rim there, a bronze curl there. I’m sure they’re perfectly disheveled, his curls, but I’m too afraid to look at him. I might lose my place. I might lose my fucking mind.

Control, maybe. I might lose control. And then what, Simon?

How many times have I already lost it? I remember that night—our first kiss. The way I had to stop it. The way he brought me water and told me to breathe. The way it didn’t faze him. Then last month, that night after work. The way I had to stop it. The way he was so infuriatingly understanding.

I only get so many passes.
