Countess Athena's beautiful gift: Helps children with cancer
A few months ago, the Skagen Teddy Bear Museum got a huge surprise. Chris the teddy bear arrived in a large box with a handwritten letter from Countess Athena.
In it, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie's 12-year-old daughter asked the museum's manager, Jonna Thygesen, to look after her teddy bear until she comes back to Denmark from the USA. Athena wrote at the same time that she hoped Chris could help some of the sick children in the hospital.
At the Teddy Bear Museum, Jonna Thygesen works tirelessly to support the children's ward and the Family House at Skejby Hospital. This happens both financially and with events for the children affected by cancer. Chris has already caused great joy. He has helped to celebrate both Mardi Gras and Athena's birthday, where he brought cake for the children.
It triggered a grateful letter to Countess Athena from a boy hospitalized at Skejby, and she immediately wrote back. Chris is now appointed as an ambassador for all the teddy bears at the museum at the Skagen Teddy Bear Museum.

““We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace”. Harry and Meghan gave a kinder statement than 99% of the royal rota.” - Submitted by Anonymous
I would not characterize this as necessarily kind, a perfunctory message at best.
The Church of England has released wording of a suggested prayer, which can be used in full or adapted by churches or people individually. The Prayer for HRH the Princess of Wales reads:
“Gracious God. We pray for the continued recovery of the Princess of Wales, for her husband, and for their family.
Grant to them, and to all who are affected by sickness, faith, hope, and knowledge of your love, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.”
