TOO MANY TEETH

@timelybees / timelybees.tumblr.com

Call me bees or frig! I have a sneaky art degree, and now I flop on the ground and think about people-bones and evolving trends in merch. nb and they/them, please!

holy DAMN I don't talk about myself a lot because *faint bees droning in the distance* but y'all I gotta say

I got diagnosed with ADHD yesterday at age 30+ and motherfucker. I WAS RIGHT. I FRIGGING KNEW SOMETHING WAS UP

so now I'm trying out a medication for the first time and I can focus for the first time in probably 15 years, without it feeling like I'm pulling teeth? I could concentrate even on just playing a game I like, and managed to play for as long as I actually wanted to play for, instead of my interest dropping off after just ten minutes?? I'm genuinely excited to see what I can do tomorrow when I tackle something I've been putting off for months, now that the first step in doing any task doesn't feel forty feet high. holy fuck.

adding my own tags here because I also forgot to add a visual to my thoughts and feelings all day yesterday

new update nine months later: the late-afternoon ADHD meds-wearing-off crashes were SO BAD that I was genuinely worried about crashing my car on my way home from work. I'd get home and flop on the floor for six hours, exhausted, and then go to bed for six hours. and then get up and go back to work. my boss is great but even he was clearly worried about me.

my doctor's kind of a rad guy and offered to give me 'Dog medicine? no wait, sorry I'm very tired- would you like KID'S medi- no, wait, sorry-'

poor dude was exhausted from a long day and also pulling out a 1.5" construction staple that someone accidentally used to attach their shorts to their thigh immediately before my appointment- but he was TRYING to offer me a smaller dose of my meds, overlapped with my regular dose, so the horrifying crash would be more like flopping into a pit of foam blocks. and it's working!! ;u;

I was considering switching doctors bc he's hard to get an appointment with my schedule, but this dude just saved my life! again! and he was so genuinely happy to see that my quality of life was still a lot better than when I first met him. I can't believe I lucked out with this guy 😭

I finally (got help) slapping Wordpress into shape and Runaway to the Stars is now releasing as a public webcomic! Thank you so much for your support over the years, and sticking with me while I'm slowly chewing my way through this book. I'm very excited to share this story! It'll be updating every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday thanks to the massive Patreon backlog. Patreon will continue to update as I finish pages, which happens on a sporadic non-schedule.

If you experience bugs with the site report them to me. Some things may occasionally break, as coding problems tend to be a very "whack-a-mole" affair; and I'm still getting used to the interface.

btw RttS is still contracted to a book publisher, I just got permission from them to share the comic online. This is beneficial for two reasons: it's functionally advertising for a printed book when the comic is complete, and also I am quite shallow and primarily motivated by attention so sharing pages makes pages happen faster 👍

This comic rules, and the worldbuilding and character development are some of my favorites in an ongoing comic. Definitely, definitely, definitely keep an eye on RttS.
