When Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005, an agreement was reached that obliged Egypt to prevent arms smuggling through (or under) the Gaza-Sinai border.

This agreement was "guaranteed" by the Americans.

It was not fulfilled.

Over 100 smuggling tunnels have been found by Israeli forces under the "Philadelphi Corridor."

This failure resulted in the massacre of 1,200 Israelis on Oct. 7 of last year, and the flattening of Gaza in retaliation in the subsequent months.

Semi-regular reminder that Hamas is a terrorist organization with a long, long history of using human shields and that any news coming from "Palestine" is coming through a Hamas mouthpiece and that Hamas's stated goals in their manifesto is to kill all Jews ("But Gayle," someone once said to me, "They only say Zionists!" I swear to fuck, I will hit you with the clown hammer until your clown makeup comes off).

And while I have you here, the Houthis are literally Nazis and it's fucking wild the number of people I saw a year ago saying "punch all Nazis" who suddenly got very upset when Israel bombed the fucking Nazis.

Palestine deserves to be at peace. Yemen deserves to be at peace. Israel deserves to be at peace. Palestine and Yemen are run by terrorist groups who do not want peace because they are so mad Jews exist, they are willing to cause pain, suffering, and unending fuckery to civilians in order to meet their stated goals of killing all Jews.

If you think Israel is the enemy in all of this, you're the fucking antisemitic problem.

Alkadi, 52, was kidnapped from Magen on October 7.

The IDF on Tuesday rescued hostage Qaid Farhan Alkadi who had been held by Hamas since October 7.

Alkadi was rescued from a tunnel in Khan Yunis. The operation was led by Division 162 along with the Shayetet 13 naval commandos.

Fourth successful operation

Alkadi, 52, was kidnapped from kibbutz Magen where he worked on October 7.

It is the fourth successful operation to rescue live Israeli hostages from Hamas, though there have been several successful operations finding and returning some dozens of bodies of hostages killed by Hamas.

you’re welcome.

now, if you want to decolonize palestine, insist that saudi arabia create a state within their huge amount of land for palestinians. because palestinians are arabs:

(arabs came to egypt through colonization, but hey, try egypt too)

Clearly Candace Owens didn't marry into anti semitism.

This is beautiful ❤️

I am so glad he posted this to show his support for Israel and his love for the Jewish people.

It's hard to believe Candace is his daughter in law.

He gets why Israel has to fight back ( they don't have a choice ) and the fact that he gets that ? Makes me want to cry in relief .

People don't understand that Israel cannot just forget about Oct 7th and let themselves be murdered ,kidnapped ,sexually assaulted ,beaten and not do anything about it !

What country would ?

by Alan Zeitlin

In “The October 7 War: Israel’s Battle for Security in Gaza,”  Seth Frantzman doesn’t use hyperbole when he writes: “A country that went to sleep on Oct. 6 concerned with domestic controversies woke up the next day to an unprecedented war. It was a shock that shook the country to its core and left major questions about the future.”

Frantzman writes that as rockets flew overhead when he drove down to the border, his colleague Dr. Eric Mandel notified him that he saw corpses littering the streets. Some were Israeli civilians, and some were terrorists. The book is about the four months when he covered the war.

He notes that while more information will come out after official investigations are completed, there was an overconfidence by the heads of the Israeli military as well as politicians, who believed that by making sure money flowed to Hamas, the terrorist group would care about self-interest and not launch any major attack. He conveys the shock that many in the world sided with Hamas. “By attacking Israel,” he writes, “Hamas did not receive more condemnation and isolation globally; instead, it achieved more recognition and a spotlight.”

Frantzman takes you through the founding of Hamas, first through an election and then by murdering its opponents in the Fatah party.

“At each point in history when Israel was about to achieve peace, Hamas would seek to sabotage the efforts via massive deadly attacks,” he writes of periods of past decades. “The same would occur in October 2023 when Hamas sought to derail normalization with Saudi Arabia and peace in the region.”

While Israel assassinated founder Sheik Ahmed Yassin in 2004, three years earlier it released Yahya Sinwar in the trade for kidnapped solider Gilad Shalit. Sinwar is the leader of Hamas, the Oct. 7 attack’s mastermind, and is still alive.  Frantzman writes that lessons have been learned. “Technology is not a substitute for strategy and tactics.”

Hamas did preparatory drills in plain sight during daylight hours so that Israel would be fooled into thinking the terrorist group was simply doing drills. Israel’s rationale was that the country defeated Hamas in 2002, 2009, 2012, 2014 and 2021, so it could do it again if it had to.” But none of those included large-scale, surprise ground attacks.

He notes that Knesset member Avigdor Liberman resigned as Defense Minister in 2018, sensing that the threat of Hamas was not taken seriously and that a paper he wrote explaining the possibility of a large-scale attack was largely ignored. The payments from Qatar that were believed to be for the purpose of de-incentivizing war were instead used to finance the terror tunnels, which were a key to the war.

The plan, dubbed “walls of Jericho,” outlining almost exactly the October attack, was seen in April of 2002, but not acted upon.

HANIYEH ASSASSINATION: WHY NOW AND WHY IN IRAN?

You can say in some essence that

Harris sealed Haniyeh's faith. Her disturbing and horrible announcement last week made Hams feel that they have a friend in the US, and immediately after, they rejected the hostage deal. Israel had to "shock" the system to have any chance of bringing our hostages back. This morning, the hostage families who blame Bibi daily for not getting a deal said he did a good thing, and they are pleased.

As to the why: Haniyeh has been moving freely between Qatar, Turkey, and Iran in the past ten months; the US made Israel promise them at the beginning of the war that they would not kill the leaders of Hams in Qatar, as not to embarrass Qatar and to keep the channels open with Hams. So Qatar was out. Turkey is a NATO country, and the highly anti-Israel stand Erdogan was taking would have complicated Israel's standing in the world if they had taken Haniyeh out in Turkey. This leaves us with Iran. With this strike, Israel embarrassed Iran, and in the Middle East culture, the host must protect its guests at all costs, which Iran failed to do. Also, the message to the head of the snake was clear. We can reach you anywhere, anytime, and you cannot do anything about it.

Ad campaign and search efforts intensify for missing girl Haymanot Kasau - Israel News - The Jerusalem Post

Kasau, who immigrated with her family from Ethiopia to Israel and lived in the absorption center in Safed, was last seen in February.

By EVE YOUNGJULY 30, 2024 14:20Updated: JULY 30, 2024 22:00

The Aliyah and Integration Ministry and the Jewish Agency for Israel has launched an ad campaign that offers a prize for anyone who provides information about the whereabouts of Haymanot Kasau, a 10-year-old girl from Safed who has been missing for five months.

The campaign began earlier this month. Next Monday, August 5, the Israel Police plans to conduct a massive search for the missing child. Mounted police units and police dogs will participate in the search, alongside IDF trackers and staff members of other entities, such as United Hatzalah, according to Avi Yalew, who works with the family.

Kasau, who immigrated with her family from Ethiopia to Israel and lived in the absorption center in Safed, was last seen in February, when security footage showed her at the entrance of the absorption center, wearing a pink sweatshirt, a black skirt, and white sneakers.

Campaign announces reward

The ad campaign is meant to raise awareness and remind the public that she is still missing. It offers a NIS 350,000 prize for anyone who provides information that leads to finding her.

“We cannot give up. Haymanot needs us!” reads the ad, which calls on the public to not stand by but to “join efforts to find her.”

“Any information, and details, could lead to the breakthrough we want,” the ad says.

A private investigation firm joined efforts to find the child last month, Yalew said.

Eli Ashkenazi contributed to this report.

Please, may this child be found, alive and well

Success!

The IDF in an official announcement:

Fuad Shukr, also known as "Seid Muhsen", the most senior military commander in Hezbollah and the head of the organization's strategic apparatus, was killed on today's strike in Beirut.

During searches by emergency services, the body of a lifeless man was found in an apartment near the location of the explosion.

Israeli media reported a loud explosion on Ben Yehuda Street on the corner of Shalom Aleichem near the US Consulate in Tel Aviv early Friday morning.

During searches by emergency services, the body of a lifeless man in his 50s with shrapnel marks on his body was found in an apartment near the location of the explosion. Ten people were taken to hospital with minor wounds, according to Israeli media.

Police, fire, and rescue services were deployed to the area and told Israeli media that there was no fire. The source of the explosion is not yet known.

An IDF spokesperson announced that a preliminary investigation shows that the explosion in Tel Aviv "was caused by the fall of an aerial target, which did not trigger a warning."

According to the Saudi owned Al-Arabiya/al-Hadath channel, the United States intercepted a ballistic missile and three drones launched by the Houthis at Israel during on Friday night, but the fourth managed to hit Tel Aviv.

The IDF is continuing to investigate the explosion.

Residents who live near the place of the explosion say that objects were shattered in their houses as a result of the blast.

Soon after the attack, a leader of Yemen's Houthis, Hezam al-Asad tweeted "Tel Aviv" with a burning emoji. No official statement has been made by Israel regarding this connection.

The spokesman of Yemen's Houthis, Yahya Sarie, said on X, that the group will reveal details about a military operation that targeted Tel Aviv.

Magen David Adom reported that a 37-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were slightly injured, and they are fully conscious and were taken to the Ichilov Hospital with shrapnel injuries to their limbs and shoulder. In addition, four were being treated for shock at the scene.

MDA Spokesperson, Zaki Heller, later said "following a search of the area, an unconscious male was found in one of the nearby buildings with penetrating injuries. EMTs and Paramedics treated 8 casualties, including 4 with shrapnel and blast injuries, and 4 with anxiety symptoms."

The Home Front Command stated: "No aerial intrusion into the country's central area was detected, and therefore no alarm was triggered - the incident is under investigation."

The police said: "A short time ago, a report was received at the police headquarters about hearing an explosion in a building in Tel Aviv. Large forces of the Tel Aviv District Police and police engineers arrived at the scene."

The Mayor of Tel AVviv, Ron Huldai, posted on X: "The Municipality of Tel Aviv-Yafo is on heightened alert in light of the severe UAV incident tonight, in which one person was killed and others were injured. The war is still here, and it is hard and painful. The municipal forces arrived at the spot quickly and dealt with the incident, and we are prepared for developments, if any. I call on the public to obey gov't instructions."

Israel police

Israel police stated that they rushed to the area after receiving hundreds of reports at around 03:00 am.

They reported that the commander of the Tel Aviv District, Superintendent Peretz Omar Kaim, together with the commander of the Yarkon Region, Yehiel Bohdana, assessed the situation in the field with all the emergency and rescue forces.

They called on the residents to obey the directives of the Home Front Command, and to not touch the remnants of rockets that may contain explosives and to report this without delay to Moked 100.

This is a developing story.
