Can the Enemy Actually be More Humane Than Our Allies?

The time has come for the US to re-evaluate the version of Islam they blatantly support in the region - the Sunni’s. Our Sunni allies aren’t helping any of these people with the exception of Turkey. After that it’s Iran who has been the most humane.

Sunni’s=ISIS=Al-Qaida=our allies? How does this make any sense. The 7 most powerful nations in the world wanted to free Iran in an effort for peace, I believe the time has come to work with the Iranians about how they want to secure the region. We can have a agreement regarding Israel and it’s security - the catalyst for a peaceful two party state solution to that region’s turmoil.

Why trust the Shiites? I’ll use the Yemen civil war as an example, the Houthies first act when they had gained power was to contact the US and ask to establish diplomatic relations and recognize the new government. The war began not as an act of terrorism, but because Shiites were tire of Saudi/Sunni oppression, and we did nothing because Saudi Arabia asked us not to intervene in another country’s affairs, just like we did during the Arab Spring.  The big difference was that no other countries intervened in those uprisings, but the Saudi’s did in Yemen.

It’s a big step and one hell of a change, but Iranians are more westernized than any other nation in the region - Ruling Clerics aside. Unfortunately there’s nothing western nations can do to end the religious strife unless the four powers, (EU/GB, China, Russia, & US), decide the hell with the innocent people, we’re carving it up! Ever wonder why China isn’t involved in securing peace in the region? I wonder why no one ever talks about this either?

My opponent spouts the message of fear that the Iranians can’t be trusted,(his words are listed below) well based upon the recent actions of Erdogan, a NATO ally(?) - it behooves this nation to re-evaluate All of our relationships within the region. My opponent disagrees. He’s talked about the refugee crisis, but disregards the humanity of a nation because of their support, (albeit through terrorism), for their Shiite brethren who feel oppressed by Israel & Saudi Arabia.

My opponent doesn’t see the opportunity that lies before us, Iran becoming the driver of peace within the region - a strong US-Iran relationship is the only way to accomplish peace between the Palestinians & Israel. If our Sunni Allies don’t like it, then do something about the terror within your mists and reach out to the refugees - or in other words, start to act like our ally!

My opponent doesn’t seem to remember that Pakistan & India both have enough nuclear weapons to begin the end of our world. We use our perceived strength as a deterrent to aggression in dealing with the Russian & Chinese threats. Our relationship with these two powers isn’t going to be changed by a strong Iran, in fact, it may actually improve if Iran & Israel broker a peace agreement and the Shiites can focus on the Sunnis terrorists who have killed so many more of their fellow Muslims than Christians, Americans, & Jews combined.

Then maybe we can reallocate those resources to fight the inner city terrorism faced by millions of our citizens, on our soil, everyday! Then maybe we can fix the corruption within our legal system and hopefully repair the relationship between law enforcement and the people.

If you want my opponents viewpoint: Washington, DC – Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) introduced a bill today that will impose sanctions on those who threaten the peace and stability of Iraq, and/or its government.  The bill, H.R. 5727, seeks to counter the active role of Iran, its Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Quds Force (IRGC-Quds), and its proxy militias that seek to destabilize Iraq by imposing economic sanctions on Iran and its affiliate terrorist organizations. After dropping his bill, Rep. Kinzinger made the following statement:  “The President’s flawed nuclear deal has strengthened Iran and given them more reason to continue threatening the values and interests of the United States.  Their true intentions are blatant; this is the same Iranian regime responsible for wounding and killing American soldiers with Iranian-made IEDs during the Iraq War.“We cannot sit back and pretend Iran’s aggression in Iraq, as well as the surrounding region, won’t affect our own national security.  It most certainly does and most certainly will.“The bill I introduced today will hold the Iranian regime accountable for any activities that threaten the future stability of Iraq.  I’m grateful to my colleagues for cosponsoring this legislation and for joining me in my efforts to counter Iran’s tyrannical ambitions across the Middle East.” Rep. Kinzinger introduced the ‘Preventing Iranian Destabilization in Iraq Act’ with 20 original cosponsors:Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN)Rep. Todd Young (R-IN)Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA)Rep. John Shimkus (R-IL)Rep. Ralph Abraham (R-LA)Rep. Jeff Miller (R-FL)Rep. Chris Gibson (R-NY)Rep. Pete Olson (R-TX)Rep. Joe Heck (R-NV)Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA)Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL)Rep. Carlos Curbelo (R-FL)Rep. John Culberson (R-TX)Rep. Diane Black (R-TN)Rep. Kevin Cramer (R-ND)Rep. Ann Wagner (R-MO)Rep. Charles Boustany (R-LA)Rep. Luke Messer (R-IN)Rep. George Holding (R-NC)Rep. Tom Rooney (R-FL) Rep. Peter King (R-NY) -  DO YOU NOTICE THAT ONLY FELLOW REPUBLICANS are supporting this kind of rhetoric?  Where are the Bills regarding the LACK OF INACTION taken by OUR SUNNI ALLIES?
