What an enchanting idea, honestly—that this astronaut who didn’t tell anyone he was leaving, travelling through the loneliness of space with only a skittish animal for company, comes across an isolated relic of the home he left behind. There’s a friend inside. It’s the friend he left behind. And you know that whatever is in there is not that friend, can’t be that friend, not really, but—but wouldn’t it be nice, to have one more conversation? Like they used to, before all this happened?

A convenience store floats through the void, warm and inviting, stocked and ready for whoever might need it.

They always need it.

Another experimental painting today with a wandering Shrub and the Wolf Spirit! I’ve been meaning to paint her for a while now and since I’m loving her exile arc, this felt right 🐺

I really, really enjoyed the process of this one. It’s all one layer where I slapped down a ton of textured strokes in different shades of blue and then the shapes were carved from that, as though I was whittling away the colour to reveal a painting that was always there. I’ve been bedridden with Covid for like, three weeks now—they never told me one of the symptoms was completely changing your art style 🤨

Honestly of all the symptoms, I can work with this one ;)

A new genre of book cover and interior illustration for @valoisfulcanellideux with REanima! We’ve got a sci fi dystopia au feat. Bounty Hunter Sausage with a sick motorbike, an augmented future Copper King, and little copper golem Pearl. This was a really fun departure for me, thank you so much for trusting me with these!!

My commissions are closed at the moment but I’m aiming to reopen them in June! ✨

Now that the grad show has finished, I’ve got the time to focus on things besides school! The show was yesterday night and I’m proud to say that my illustration work earned me an Award of Excellence, and this painting here, titled “Blue Sky Thinking”, was selected by Sheridan College to be the face of their Community Impact Report and it’ll be mailed to tens of thousands of homes!!

I’m so happy to have my hard work appreciated after struggling with Covid for so long 😊😆 You can check out my grad webpage here! It’s a chance to see what I’ve been working on in between dozens of fanart paintings hahaha

In more news, my print shop has been updated! I’ve received asks requesting that I make certain paintings available as prints, including some Critical Role stuff and all my Limited Life art. If there are any I’ve missed that you’d like to get as prints, let me know and I’ll add em! All prints are currently on sale!

One last thing is that I’ll be opening up commissions in the next few days!! I’m planning on opening up several slots for a discounted run of Portrait commissions. This initial run will be only Portraits as I ease into it after the crunch of grad, and they will be 50 dollars off the usual price–so get your characters ready! I can’t wait to hear from you 😄✨
