AN ANNOUNCEMENT FROM YOUR PALS AT PHONO SELECT RECORDS

Last week Phono Select Records lost our lease and we were given a 30 day notice from our landlord. Our last day of being open to public at 2312 K Street will be Feb 10th, 2013. As many of you know we’ve been looking for a new location for a few months now and although we may have found something, nothing is set in stone and we will be moving immediately into a large warehouse space.

The closing of Phono Select will be temporary. We hope to be up and on our feet within a few months at a new location. During that time, we will concentrate on expanding our on-line business and solidifying our vision and mission of being “Sacramento’s Best Independent Record Store.”

If there was anything you had your eye on, we suggest getting it sooner than later, as Feb 9th will come up faster than the speed of light. If you have gift certificates, we encourage you to use them. We will honor gift certificates at our new location, but because we don’t have a firm re-opening date, we encourage you to try to use your certificates now.

You will still be able to keep track of what’s going by visiting us on our website, www.phonoselect.com, and the many social media sites we use such as Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. We will continue to post regularly and keep everyone informed about how things are progressing and what’s going on with Phono Select Records.

A big thank you to everyone who helped us to win “Best Record Store” in Sacramento! Winning the award in the ‘SNR’s Best of 2012’ was a great honor for us. We really appreciate the support of the local community and most of all, the friendships we created with a great many of you.
