Had lunch with Joe Lipic, founder of the Lipic Pen Company and his wife. Before Bic took over ballpoint pens in the 1970s, a lot of the pens (purchased and promotional) in Saint Louis carried the Lipic brand. The company still exists and focuses on promotional items.
Mr. Lipic also does corporate branding and online presence (formerly known as PR and web design). A very bright and humble man. Oh, and trained by Jesuits for 8 years. It shows.
