Before we met 7-year-old Khalid, he rarely left his family’s caravan in Zaatari refugee camp. His family didn’t think he could attend school because of his disability — muscular dystrophy.
But through our inclusive education program for Syrian refugee children, Khalid is receiving the mental and physical support he needs to receive formal education. Today, he’s the top student in his first-grade class.
