Every year, I get myself a new pair of specs. And it’s always a quest. I will likely never experience a Tolkien-like journey in my lifetime, so why not make the day to day responsibility of vision impairment improvement more exciting by over-complicating it? Right?
A poem and links to these lovelies below the jump!
I haven’t written a poem in… years. But when exploring the exciting issue of optical repair, one must express themselves. So let’s give it a shot:
Mine eyes are not crossed,
But they cannot focus afar,
To watch my favorite movies,
Or gaze upon the stars. While cat eyes are hip,
For the lovely female face,
I’ll pursue a squarer look,
Ideal for my cranial shape. And though glasses are for seeing,
They’re a chance to be bold,
And when it comes to fashion,
Go big or go home.
I hope you like it. It’s not going to win any awards, but I had quite the time writing it, so thanks for indulging me. If you want to check out any of the specs I’m considering, here’s the linkage:
Which pair do you like best?
